Did you turn into a Mudman (or Mudwoman) at the 19th aQuellé Hermannsburg Mudman on Saturday 3 February 2018?

Hermannsburg Mudman 2018 at Deutsche Schule Hermannsburg lived up to its name, yet again, delivering loads of mud and fun for the whole family.

Mudman Hermannsburg 2018Athletes appreciated the cool weather, as young and old joined in with gusto. This year saw a growth in support for the morning’s Mudskipper events, showing that Hermannsburg Mudman is one for the whole family.

The corporate challenge and the schools’ challenge were fiercely contested, thanks to all the companies and schools that supported Hermannsburg Mudman 2018, especially Hoërskool Voortrekker and Greytown High School.

Half-distance Swim:

U14 Team Eshowe Warriors; Open Team Voortrekker High School 1; U11 Lieve Rennings & Rhys Barry; U13 Brigitte von Bruddebock & Pepyn Rennings; U16 Taylor Munro & Daniel van der Walt; Open Courtney Munro & Jeramie Higgins; 40+ Elke Powell & Clayton Steytler.

Full distance Swim:

Open Team Three Little Pigs; U18 Gabby Carter & Angus McLeod; Open Jeannie Bomford-Dryer (overall winner) & Darryn Purtell (overall winner); 40+ Sue Don-Wauchope & Craig Russell White.

Half-distance Paddle:

U11 Abbey Hackland & Cole Joshua Berriman; U13 Rourke Paul Berriman; U16 Hannah Bruni & Abbi Larson (tie); Open Pippa Weber; 40+ Emilio Chiccaro.

Full distance Paddle:

Open Team VC Green; U18 Mireia Bruni & Timothy Larsen; Open Neil du Plessis; Corporate Challenge The Bracken Bandits;  Schools’ Challenge Hoërskool Voortrekker.

Well done to the winners and all participants! All sponsors, organisers, parents, scholars and teachers, you helped make the event another success. Teamwork is the way to success for everyone.
