Birkett clinches maiden Drak Challenge title



Andy Birkett snatched a sensational maiden title at the N3TC Drakensberg Challenge Canoe Marathon on 19 January. A mistake by triple champ Hank McGregor in the closing stages of the race gave Birkett the edge to cross the finish line first. Birkett and Zondi clinch 50 Miler 2013 title

EU Supplements Contaminated

A recent 2013 EU survey reveals a 10% contamination rate of supplements. The study conducted by LGC anti-doping laboratory, HFL Sport Science, where 114 supplement products purchased across Europe were tested, indicated an alarming 10% contamination rate. Amongst the contamination rate twenty banned substance findings were observed with steroids and stimulants such as Methylhexanamine were found in the contaminated supplement samples.
