Defying gravity and fatigue at Platteklip Charity Challenge

This Saturday, Table Mountain’s Platteklip Gorge will see trains of runners attempting multiple ascents of the 800 double-size steps at the annual K-Way Platteklip Charity Challenge. SA runners raise nearly R350k for charity at London Marathon

South Africans part of world’s largest annual fundraising event Among more than 35,000 runners participating in the annual Virgin London Marathon on Sunday were a handful of South Africans; having raised more nearly R350,000 for charity as part of the world’s largest annual fundraising event. One stand-out runner, Franciska (Fran) Venter, completed the race after training during treatment for cancer in her brain, lung and liver.

UNOGWAJA – 1730km ride before Comrades Marathon
